The Redfield Solar Project is a large-scale solar installation in Grant County, Arkansas. The project spans **1,033 acres** and will generate enough power to support a major tech company through a long-term **power purchase agreement (PPA)**. The identity of the purchasing company has yet to be disclosed, but the agreement underscores the rising demand for utility-scale **solar energy solutions** among corporations.
Arkansas currently has **2.77 GW of installed solar capacity**, ranking **20th in the U.S.** according to the **Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)**. With this project and others in the pipeline, the state is expected to **nearly double** its solar output, adding another **2.677 GW** over the next five years.
