Iowa is poised to take a giant leap forward in community solar with House Bill 81, which has now advanced to the House as HF 404. This bill creates a community solar program that allows individuals and businesses to subscribe to an off-site solar facility and receive credits on their utility bills.
This is a game-changer for Iowans who may not have the ability to install **solar panels for their home**—whether due to financial constraints, unsuitable roof conditions, or renting their living space.
