The solar giant’s new factory will sprawl over a whopping 144,000 square feet in Brookshire, Texas. Now, what’s special about this facility is that it will produce utility-scale solar inverters. What’s a solar inverter, you ask? It’s a key component in a solar array for home or commercial use that transforms the direct current produced by your solar panels into the alternating current your home utilizes.
This manufacturing site is going to have the potential to increase its annual production capacity up to an outstanding 9 GW of inverters materializing based on demand, adding to the already commendable performance record TMEIC sports globally, with over 50 GW of its product installed and operational worldwide, of which 28 GW is installed in North America alone.
