In recent developments, the US Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm, is expected to join forces with local senators and governors from Ohio and Pennsylvania to initiate a grand project, the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub (ARCH2). Given up to $925 million in federal funding, this project symbolizes an important stride towards a cleaner future within the solar industry.
While solar companies often focus on creating solar arrays for home use, this latest project demonstrates how solar company innovation can also help to build a clean hydrogen economy. Put simply, hydrogen gathered from renewable resources, such as solar or wind, is what we call green hydrogen.
