As promising as it seems, a solar solution won’t fully cover the growing energy demand from these data centers – at least not yet, but that doesn’t mean solar power can’t become a major player in supplying these energy behemoths. By creating a “virtual portfolio” of renewables, including wind, solar, and battery storage, these data centers could decrease reliance on fossil fuels, optimize energy profiles, and significantly reduce their environmental impact.
